Classification by sealing characteristics
It can be divided into weather strips (WEATHERSTRIP) and general seals (SEALING). Among them, weather strips have hollow sponge tubes and have good temperature and humidity maintenance functions. Common weather strips include door frame seals, trunk seals, engine cover strips, etc. Common general seals include front and rear windshield seals and corner window seals, inner and outer strips, etc.
Classification by rubber composite structure
It can be divided into pure rubber seals - composed of a single type of rubber; two composite seals - composed of dense rubber and foam sponge rubber, often containing metal skeleton materials in the axial direction inside the dense rubber; three composite seals - composed of two dense rubbers (one of which is light-colored) and sponge rubber, usually containing metal skeletons and reinforcing fibers inside the dense rubber. Four composite seals - Shanghai Shenya Sealing Co., Ltd. was the first in China to develop and produce composite seals composed of 4 types of rubber, and a thin layer of protective layer of rubber was coated on the surface of the sponge rubber (foam tube), thereby further improving the service life of the seal.
Classification by material type
It can be divided into rubber sealing strips; plastic sealing strips; thermoplastic elastomer sealing strips.
Classification by surface treatment status
Some sealing strips have additional surface treatments and can be divided into flocking sealing strips; surface coating sealing strips; fabric-decorated sealing strips
Special function classification
Some sealing strips have electronic intelligent functions, such as anti-pinch sealing strips, etc.
